What You’ll Learn

The design of this course is for safety personnel from any industry; the course addresses on-the-job safety and health work practices complying with OSHA regulations. Course completers will receive a 10-hour card from OSHA.

Major Course Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Locate applicable OSHA regulations in the following areas:

  1. The OSH Act
  2. General Duty Clause
  3. Inspections, Citations, Penalties
  4. Recordkeeping
  5. Walking and Working Surfaces
  6. Fire Safety Electrical
  7. Safety Flammables and Combustibles
  8. Personal Protective Equipment
  9. Machine Guarding
  10. Hazard Communication
  11. Safety and Health Programs
  12. Introduction to Industrial Hygiene/Bloodborne Pathogens and Ergonomics
  13. Safety and Health Programs
  14. Demonstrate ability to classify workplace conditions under underwritten standards
  15. Analyze if the condition complies with the standard and recommend action

Career Options

The 10-hour OSHA course is designed for entry-level general industry workers. The course explains workplace safety and health requirements for general industry, including fields such as manufacturing, health care, warehousing and more.
