What You’ll Learn

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Understand their role as managers and leaders within their organization and in their community
  2. Understand personalities and behavior styles at the workplace and how to maximize the potential of all employees
  3. Transition from the role of a “player” to that of a manager; making the switch from worker to leader
  4. Effectively communicate and understand barriers to communication
  5. Understand and utilize Emotional Intelligence as a supervisor
  6. Learn how to motivate teams and increase coaching and mentoring skills using SMART goals
  7. Effectively manage and control conflict
  8. Establish performance expectations and conduct performance appraisals.
  9. Understand diversity at the workplace and improve cultural competency.
