What You’ll Learn
This course prepares students to enter the data center field, focusing on career pathways in IT, Maintenance, and other related fields. Students will learn essential job-seeking skills, including career research, resume and portfolio development, and interview techniques—emphasizing teamwork, ethical and productive job performance, and professional communication. Additionally, students will explore the 16 Amazon Leadership Principles, which are critical for success in high-performance data center environments. The course will also introduce key technical and behavioral competencies valued in data center operations, including problem-solving, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
By the end of this class, students will be able to:
Explain each of Amazon's 16 leadership principles.
Relate each Amazon leadership principle to a personal experience.
Demonstrate effective behavior during the interview and answer questions in an interview appropriately.
Create or update a resume.
Use cover letters to enhance opportunities for interviews.
Career Options
Successful students will be prepared to apply for jobs and the interview process with area data centers.
