Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Calculators

Stay In-The-Know with Your Financial Aid

All students receiving financial aid are required to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. These calculators can help you understand how this standing can impact your aid eligibility.

If you receive federal (Title IV) financial aid to pay for college, you must maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP) in order to retain your financial aid eligibility.

You must:

  • Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
  • Maintain a successful completion rate/pace of 67% of the courses in which you enroll
  • Complete your program of study within a reasonable period of time and not exceed the maximum time frame (MTF) of150% of the total credit hours required by your program

Failure to follow these important requirements will result in loss in financial aid you may be receiving, which may mean you will not be able to complete your college education goals.

Below are calculators to help you estimate your academic progress with regard to the above requirements. However, this is for your information only and is not an official or guaranteed measurement of SAP. Never make a schedule change without checking with your financial aid advisor to determine any effect the change will have on your financial aid eligibility.

The calculators were NOT designed to consider repeated coursework. If you have repeated any coursework and have questions about SAP status, contact your academic advisor.
