What is The AWARE Team?
The AWARE Team is a multi-disciplinary group dedicated to supporting students by identifying early signs of disruptive behavior, self-harm, or potential violence. The team monitors and tracks reports over time, identifying patterns and trends in behavior. When a report is received, the team determines level of risk and coordinates support, interventions, and referrals. For students in distress, the team initiates an investigation and creates a tailored support plan, ensuring appropriate resources and community support are provided, along with follow-up.
