Irie's Guiding Fund

Irie's Guiding Fund was created in memory of Irie Elisabeth O'Shea who passed away at the age of 17 in a house fire. She was a stand-out Junior at Wes Del Middle/High School in Muncie, Indiana. Irie was known for her kindness and open mind. She held out an open heart and open hands to anyone in need and knew no strangers. Irie was a member of the National Honor Society and was a tutor to the younger students at Wes Del. She was the captain of the color guard team and helped her team see their first gold during competition.

Harvey Poling cared about students. He served as a Vice President and Dean of the Kokomo and Columbus campuses as well as the Vice Presitdent of Development for all of Ivy Tech. Peggy Darnell helped to start the Apartment Association of East Central Indiana (now the Rental Property Association) and was an active member for over 20 years. Throughout her tenure, she worked through the building trades classes at Ivy Tech in order to do maintenance, repair, and upgrades to her rentals so that the tenants could have a nice home to live in.
