News Media ProcedURE

The Marketing, Communication, and Community Engagement Department is dedicated to highlighting our outstanding programs, services, resources, and accomplishments. One way we achieve this is by working with members of the news media in a way that best promotes, protects, and supports our students, faculty, and staff.

News media includes representatives from newspapers, magazines, newsletters, online publications, television, and radio. We encourage South Bend-Elkhart employees (full-time faculty, adjuncts, full-time staff, permanent part-time staff, and temporary part-time staff) to refer to the following procedure and campus contacts for all new media inquiries.

• If a South Bend-Elkhart employee is contacted by a member of the news media seeking information, politely ask them to contact Rebecca Ward, Executive Director of Marketing, Communication, and Community Engagement, rward119@ivytech.edu.
• If Rebecca Ward is not available, contact Lisa Wenzel, Vice Chancellor of Operations, lwenzel1@ivytech.edu.
