Scholarship Scramble

Since its inception 25 years ago, the Scholarship Scramble has been focused on raising dollars for scholarship opportunities for Ivy Tech Terre Haute and Greencastle students. First Financial Bank has been a steadfast supporter of Ivy Tech and has served as the title sponsor for 25 years, donating over $250,000 towards scholarships for first-generation college students. Join us this year for a day of friendly competition as we celebrate this milestone year.

Dust off your golf clubs and get ready to hit the links for Ivy Tech's 25th Annual Scholarship Scramble presented by First Financial Bank.

  • Net proceeds from this event benefit scholarships for students at Ivy Tech Terre Haute/Greencastle. A portion of your ticket (or sponsorship) is tax deductible. For all gifts (sponsorships or registration fees) that include a team, $300 is non-charitable. This is because $300 is covering fees associated with the golf course. 

    Ex: For a $1,500 par sponsorship, $300 is non-charitable and $1,200 is tax deductible. 

  • The scramble will proceed as scheduled, rain or shine. However, the safety of players and volunteers and the course's playability are our top priorities. Please note the following guidelines:

    1. Lightning: If lightning is detected in the area, play will be suspended immediately. Participants must seek shelter and follow all course-enforced safety protocols until the threat has passed. Play will resume only when the course professional deems it safe to continue.

    2. Course Conditions: In the event of severe weather or significant rain leading up to the outing, the golf course professional will assess the course's playability. The outing will be canceled if the course is deemed unplayable or unsafe. 

    3. Communication: Any updates regarding delays, rescheduling, or cancellations will be promptly emailed to all participants.

    4. Refunds/Rescheduling: No refunds will be issued if the golf portion of the outing is cancelled due to weather. All teams are invited to come and enjoy a complimentary lunch at Rick's Garage at Idle Creek. At lunch all golf outing teams and participants will be entered into multiple drawings to win the prizes that were intended to be given out at the outing (excluding the hole-in-one prize). Teams or players that win the prize drawings will be notified.  

    We appreciate your understanding and generous support of this event, which annually raises more than $25,000 for scholarships for Ivy Tech students. 

  • If your whole team cannot attend the scramble on May 16, please contact the Ivy Tech Terre Haute Foundation as soon as you are aware that your team will no longer be attending. Teams that inform the Foundation of their inability to attend before April 25 will be issued a 50% refund. After April 25, team cancellations will not be refunded. This is due to the difficulty of filling that spot in a short timeframe.

    Teams that are missing one or two players on the day of the scramble will not be issued a refund for the open spots. 

     

  • Mulligans, pick-a-putts, and more will be available for purchase day-of the scramble. Cash and credit card accepted.
