Ivy Tech Community College’s ASsociate Accelerated Program (ASAP for short) helps qualified high school graduates earn a two-year associate degree in just 11 months! This nationally-recognized, full-time program prepares students to transfer to a four-year college to earn their bachelor’s degree. In fact, 100% of our ASAP students have been accepted into one or more four-year colleges!
A Full-Time Program
Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Coursework is spread over five eight-week terms, or 2 ½ semesters. It’s a rewarding program—but a rigorous one, that will essentially become a student’s full-time occupation until graduation.
Cohort Learning
Classes are held in small, closely-knit groups known as “cohorts.” Classmates remain with their cohort throughout the program—encouraging, assisting, and depending on each other every step of the way.
Individual Attention
A dedicated ASAP coordinator helps students identify academic goals, then maps out a clear path they can follow to success, while faculty teams of four teachers per term offer individual attention.
Most graduates of the ASAP program plan to continue their studies. By completing your associate degree at Ivy Tech, you can save over $10,000 on the cost of a bachelor’s degree. Learn more about transfer opportunities
60% of ASAP students earn a degree in just one year
98% of students persist after one year toward their bachelor’s degree or a second associate degree
100% of our graduates who have applied have been accepted into one or more four-year colleges

The ASAP program at Ivy Tech has more specific admission criteria than Ivy Tech as a whole. Prospective ASAP students must:
Students interested in pursuing an associate degree with the Ivy Tech Community College’s ASsociate Accelerated Program (ASAP) program must first apply to the ASAP program.
Once your application is received, an ASAP coordinator will contact you via email and/or text. Your campus ASAP coordinator will personally help you navigate through the enrollment process.
The second step is to submit the Ivy Tech general application and complete the requirements for admission to the college. Admission to the college does not ensure acceptance to an ASAP program.
Your high school transcript will be evaluated to determine if you meet the requirements for admission to an ASAP program. You must have a high school GPA of at least 2.5 and a strong attendance record.
