Ivy Accelerate is a flexible, fast-track program for adults who want to earn a college credential on time. In this unique program, working adults with busy schedules can stay on track to earn a certificate in two semesters (one year) or an associate degree in four semesters (two years).
Ivy Accelerate, like any accelerated program, is for serious students. It also has a selective admission process, which means not everyone who applies will get in.
Classes are held just two nights per week with the flexibility to attend virtually or in person as needed. Required group meetings and activities are held on the first Monday evening of every month.
Classes are held in small, closely-knit groups of students studying the same major known as “cohorts.” Classmates remain with their cohort throughout the program—encouraging, assisting, and depending on each other every step of the way. Ivy Accelerate students are also assigned a program mentor who helps them map out a clear pathway to graduation.
Ivy Tech Bloomington is the only campus to currently offer Ivy Accelerate. Ivy Tech Columbus is working on offering this program, so check back in the future for more details if you are interested.
The program is available for a variety of academic programs. Click to learn more about each program.
The Ivy Accelerate accelerated program is currently available for eight academic programs at Ivy Tech Bloomington. Graduates of Ivy Accelerate have the option to get work in their field, continue on to a higher degree, or both. You choose the credential (certificate or associate degree) you want to pursue based on your goals and interests.
Some Indiana residents could be eligible to earn a credential tuition-free through Indiana’s Next Level Jobs (paid for by the Workforce Ready Grant). That means you could pursue a Next Level Jobs certificate AND take advantage of the flexible evening classes that Ivy Accelerate offers. Note the Next Level Jobs (NLJ) icons in the table below to see which credentials may be earned tuition-free for qualifying students.
