Get a Jump Start on College or Career
Taking Ivy Tech classes while you’re in high school is a great way to get a jumpstart on your future. Our Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment programs for high schoolers enable students to begin earning college credit while in high school.
You can earn a certificate that allows you to head straight into a high-wage, high-demand career right after graduation, or continue on to college to wrap up an associate degree or even start at a four-year college as a sophomore. Both programs can be free for high school students depending on your goals.
Taking college classes in high school can help students:
- Get a better understanding of what is expected in college
- Build increased confidence in their ability to handle college
- Improve skills in time management, study habits, and handling responsibility
- Provide access to Ivy Tech resources such as the library and tutoring
