After registering for classes, new students will receive a refund selection kit (information about selecting a refund option) from Higher One in the mail. The personal code enclosed is used to select the refund preference that best fits your needs. Refunds can be excess financial aid, student loans, or tuition on a canceled class.
Ivy Tech has partnered with Higher One to offer the following refund options:
- OneAccount – Same Business Day Deposit to a OneAccount*. Money is deposited to the account the same business day that Higher One received the funds from Ivy Tech. This wire occurs two business days after the refund posts to the student account.
- ACH/Direct Deposit - Deposit into another personal account. Money will be received in two to three business days after the wire is sent to Higher One by Ivy Tech.
*If the account holder is a student or performs a direct deposit of $100.00 or more per month, the $3.95 monthly service fee will not be assessed. See fee schedule for details.
Follow the instructions in the kit to select your refund option.
Even though you might not be expecting a refund, do not throw the refund selection kit away…you may receive a refund in the future. It is encouraged that ALL students select a refund preference immediately after receipt so they will not have to make a selection in the future.
