After registering for classes, new students will receive an Ivy Tech Debit Card in the mail. The card is the key to selecting the refund preference that best fits your needs. Refunds can be excess financial aid, student loans, or tuition on a canceled class.
Ivy Tech has partnered with Higher One to offer the following refund options:
- OneAccount – a FDIC insured checking account with no monthly fees for students* (other fees may apply). This account is offered by Higher One and linked to the Ivy Tech Debit Card. Money is deposited to this account on the same business day that funds are released by Ivy Tech to Higher One.
- ACH/Direct Deposit into your existing checking or savings account. Money will be received in two to three business days.
*If the account holder is a student or performs a direct deposit of $100.00 or more per month, the $3.95 monthly service fee will not be assessed. See fee schedule for details.
Follow the instructions with the card to select your refund option. If you do not select a refund option, a paper check will be mailed to you within 21 days after the funds are received by Higher One.
Even though you might not be expecting a refund, do not throw the card away…you may receive a refund in the future.
