The Software development program prepares students to develop, test and maintain the software applications that people use everyday with their computers and other technical devices. The coursework involves a combination or practical programming techniques and problem-solving skills. This program prepares students to start a career in the fast changing world of information technology with practical knowledge and skills for an entry-level position in software development.
Students who graduate from our program are able to transfer to a four-year university or enter the workforce directly. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Software Development will give you the knowledge and skills for career entry or advancement in a current job. Some examples of possible careers include Applications Developer, Systems Programmer, Web Developer and Webmaster.
