  • Everyone needs a little help sometimes, and Emergency Aid is here to provide support for unexpected financial hardships you may face during your academic journey.

    Process: Once the Emergency Aid request form has been completed, please allow up to 5 business days to receive an update on your application from an Ivy Care’s representative. All responses will be sent to your student email address. An Ivy Care’s representative will contact you if more information is needed for the request.

    Health Sciences and Nursing Program
    Health Science and Nursing Program Emergency Funds request offers aid for select course-required materials such as drug screenings, background checks, scrubs, equipment, etc.

  • Enrolled students needing laptops or internet connectivity to complete coursework are eligible for Lamkin Center loaner technology assistance.

    Process: The request form below must be completed to request a loaner laptop or hotspot. Once the request form is completed, allow up to 2 business days for a response in your student email account from an Ivy Care’s representative with the next steps.

  • Ivy Tech has partnered with METS to assist students with transportation to and from Ivy Tech. We offer discounts or free bus passes per semester and free bus tokens to those needing help with transportation to and from Ivy Tech.

    Process: To request a Bus Pass, first complete the link below. Once the link is completed, please allow up to 4 business days for the pass to be delivered. While the pass request is being processed, visit the Lamkin Center to request METS tokens.

  • The Vine: Ivy's Closet logo

    Ivy’s Closet: The Vine, is our campus’s food pantry where nonperishable food items and personal supplies may be obtained by students, faculty, and staff who are facing financial challenges. Participants are asked to complete a short application via the link below or in person at the Lamkin Center. For more information, please call 812-492-0336, stop by Room 228.

    Process: Once an application has been completed, online or in person, someone will work with you to schedule a pick-up time.

Whether you talk to a trusted friend, family member, or someone at Ivy Tech, we want you to ask for help when you need it. Evansville campus has partnered with Youth First to provide mental health counseling services

  • About the IMPACCT IVY Scholars The IMPACCT (Integrated Mentoring Program Achieving College and Career Transformation) Ivy Scholars Program is a scholarship and academic enrichment program that assists students who face barriers to college success by helping them reach their academic and professional goals. IMPACCT Ivy Scholars are given the tools to be successful through workshops, mentoring, and individualized coaching. Participants will also be able to use career-specific skills to give back to the college, peers, and the community. Below is a list of everything that program participants will have available to them!

    Service-Learning Opportunities

    · Monthly Enrichment Programs (Career, financial, and academic success workshops)

    · Tutoring

    · Financial Assistance (up to $1,500)

    · And much more!

    Eligible participants must meet one of the following criteria:

    · Students with dependents which they care for

    · Students that have a history within the foster care system or wards of the court.

    · Students with a lack of familial support.

    · Students with disabilities or neurodivergence.

    · Students with other unknown barriers to success

    Any students meeting these criteria must have completed at least 6 credit hours, hold at least a 2.0 GPA, and be in good financial/SAP standing.

    Program Requirements: All IMPACCT Ivy Scholars must meet the basic program requirements and uphold these responsibilities to excel and maintain in the program. Attendance in these services will be tracked by the coordinator utilizing sign-in sheets and tracked through IVY Learn. Lack of participation can result in removal from the project and revocation of scholarship. These requirements will be documented in their PEP:

    o Participate in Peer Group Meetings every 2 weeks

  • As an Ivy Tech student, you have access to a wide variety of resources to meet your individual needs. If you have a disability, you’ll want to learn more about Disability Support Services (DSS) and how they can support you. DSS works with students on a case-by-case basis to determine what accommodations meet their specific needs by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

  • Students Taking Academic Responsibility (STAR)

    Helping Students Overcome Academic Challenges and Achieve Success

    The Students Taking Academic Responsibility (STAR) Program is a student success and retention initiative designed for students who have experienced academic difficulties. Students are assigned to STAR after their financial aid appeal has been approved and must complete program requirements to maintain eligibility. Our mission is to provide the guidance, support, and resources needed to help students retain good academic standing and build a strong foundation for success in college and beyond.

    What We Offer

    • Personalized Mentoring Support – One-on-one mentoring tailored to individual student needs.
    • Skill-Building Workshops – Time management, study strategies, and goal-setting techniques.
    • Supportive Community – A network of mentors and peers focused on student success.
    • Proactive Intervention – Early alerts and check-ins to help students stay on track.

    STAR Program Requirements

    • Attend 3 STAR Mentor Meetings
    • Complete 2 STAR Success Modules
    • Participate in 1 Enrichment Activity (Accommodations are available for online students.)
    • Ivy Achieves
      • First-generation college student
      • Pell Grant eligible
      • 21st Century Scholar
      • Enrolled in online-only courses
      • Students are automatically identified as Ivy Achieves and receive targeted outreach to help them succeed in their first year. 
      • Meet with their advisor each semester
      • Enroll in IVYT
      • Connect with a career coach in their first year
      • Ensure tuition is paid before classes begin
      • Register at least 30 days before the next semester
      • Complete the FAFSA
      • Log into IvyLearn weekly
      • Attend orientation
      • Supporting First-Year Student Success. This program helps students stay on track and build a strong foundation for success at Ivy Tech. Ivy Achieves is a specialized support program for new, first-time students at Ivy Tech who meet one of the following criteria:

      • Blurb/Summary: Are you looking for ways to be more successful this semester? Attend any of our Student Success workshops! These workshop sessions will help you with study tips, time management skills, best practices for exams, relaxation, meditation, anxiety, and much more.
      • Process: Student Success Workshops are open to all enrolled students. STAR students, IMPACCT Scholars, or Ivy Achieves students can meet their program’s workshop requirements by attending a Student Success Workshop.
