What Does a Manufacturing Operator Do?
A Manufacturing Operator oversees production equipment, sets up materials and supplies, and manages the upkeep of equipment. A Manufacturing Operator performs regular checks to maintain product quality. Their ultimate responsibility is to keep the production environment safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily monitoring testing and cleaning duties as assigned to ensure equipment and systems are in good operating condition.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the execution of the production plan for the site.
- Understand Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements and standards.
- Monitor and collect data on equipment use and performance i.e. trying to anticipate potential equipment reliability problems.
- Respond to potential production upsets or equipment failure.
- Participate in daily meetings to understand and set expectations for daily operational goals.
