How to Read Your ebill

When you first receive your eBill, you might be wondering, what does all this information mean? Take a look at the sample eBill below to learn more about what each part of the eBill means.

The figures and dates given on this sample are for illustration purposes only and do not reflect your personal charges/credits or actual payment due dates.

Statement Overview: Includes statement date, term, due date, and amount due as of statement date.
Student Schedule: Displays actively enrolled courses for the term; does not include dropped/withdrawn courses.
Charges: Displays all charges, including tuition, fees, tests, bookstore charges, etc., for the term.
Credit/Anticipated Credits: Displays all payments and anticipated payments, including estimated financial aid and future payment plan installments, for the term.
Previous Balance: Sum of unpaid balances from prior terms.
Current Term Balance: Amount due for current term; amount is calculated by subtracting the total amount of credits/anticipated credits from the total amount of changes.
Amount Due: Sum of previous term balance and current term balance.
Future Balance: Sum of changes for a future term, does not include anticipated aid for future term.

How Billing Works

Upon registering for spring and summer courses, tuition and fees will be assessed to your student account immediately. For fall semesters, fees are assessed by mid-June. Once charges have been assessed, you can view your account activity and balance online via IvyPay. Electronic billing statements (eBills) will be generated and available for viewing online via IvyPay. An email notification is sent to your Ivy Tech email account when an eBill statement is available.
